Information on Volunteer Training for BUSD.

Learn how to help out in your child's classroom by training to be a volunteer. The next volunteer training session will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 2 p.m. at the BUSD Office, 551 S. Ave. H.

All volunteers are required to attend a mandatory BUSD training session. Once you have completed the training, Live Scan fingerprinting will be available and you will need to complete the online training modules. Please bring $35 exact cash, your driver's license and social security card for the Live Scan fingerprinting process. Once you have completed all of the requirements, you may be cleared as a volunteer.

BHS Gym Floor Makeover

Check out the floor in the Don Bilsborough Gym at Barstow High School!! A huge shout out to Eddie Sanchez, Gilbert Hernandez and Juan Solis who spent time over the Thanksgiving break ensuring the court would shine during basketball season. Thanks Fellas!! Cross Country runner.

Congratulations to Barstow High School Aztecs' Senior Cross Country runner Angelina Vasquez on her second place finish in the Division 3 CIF Prelims at Mt. San Antonio College over the weekend. Angelina ran the three-mile course in 19:02.8. Vasquez moves on to the CIF Finals this Saturday at Mt. SAC, where she will look to qualify for the CIF State Finals to be held at Woodward Park in Fresno on Nov. 26. Good luck, Angela, we're all pulling for you!!! GO AZTECS!!!

Aztec Marching Band

Congratulations to the Barstow High School Aztec Marching Band and Color Guard on their 4th Place finish at the Martin Luther King Band & Color Guard’s Band Review held in Riverside on Nov. 12, 2022. The Band, under the direction of Dan Barilone, performed "March Grandisio" by Roland F. Seitz. BUSD Students Honored at 2022 California State Seal of Biliteracy Ceremony

Congratulations to our BUSD students who were honored at the 2022 California State Seal of Biliteracy ceremony at Oak Hills High School. According to the California Department of Education, the State Seal of Biliteracy is marked by a gold seal on the student's diploma or transcript and recognizes high school graduates who have attained a high level of proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing one or more languages in addition to English.
