Cameron Elementary School  opened its doors July 1, 1980.

Mr. Leslie is the current Principal, and has been at Cameron since the 2018-2019 school year.  

• Our school consists of general education students in TK through 4th grade.  
  • We have approximately 400 students that are enrolled in our school
• We have a full-time school counselor that provides Social Emotional Learning opportunities  
• Our school has a literacy block called 95% that all students participate in daily from 9:00 to 10:00
• We also provide a reading intervention teacher to further support the needs of our students
• Cameron also has an ASB that provides students with opportunities to come up with activities, support school functions, and to raise money to help fund school activities
• We have both a STEM and Art room where students of all grades get opportunities to experiment and show their artistic ability
• Each year students have an opportunity to purchase a yearbook that showcases fun events and activities throughout the school year

Additional Staff Members:

• Cameron Elementary has a School Administrative Manager that supports the needs of our students and our classified employees
• We have an adminstrative assistant and office assistant that supports the staff, parents, and admin
• Safety Monitor to support student safety
• Para-educators that work with our students in TK, TK, Kinder-1st grade, an EL para, and in our Special Education programs
• We have two full-time custodians and one part time that helps in the afternoon
• We have a half day librarian
• Our district provides the school with a health assistant to support our students who are ill or injured
• We have noon supervisors who provide additional support before school, at lunch-time, and after school
